EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - HUGE Allophylus
Stock Number  FPXX02
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Allophylus flexifolia
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 6.7" including petiole!

Here is a beautiful example of Allophylus flexifolia from the Green River Shale. This huge leaf (almost seven inches long!) is complete and exhibits fine detail. The undulate margins are intact and the somewhat weak venation of the leaf is easily seen. The short, stout petiole is complete and firmly attached to the leaf. The fossil has great color and superb contrast. The leaf is well centered on the semi-rectangular block of matrix. This is a wonderful specimen of an extremely large Allophylus leaf from the Eocene of Utah.
