Unusual Plate with Sycamores on Both Sides
Stock Number  FZ33
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Macginitiea wyomingensis (Sycamore Leaf)
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Plate is 6.2" X 10.0"

This is an unusual plant fossil. It is a plate with a beautiful Macginitiea wyomingensis (Sycamore) leaf preserved. This leaf is wonderfully complete - all five lobes of the leaf are present and beautifully displayed. The venation is clearly defined, and an extremely long, complete petiole is still tightly attached to the base of the leaf. But when you turn over the slab, there are three more leaves on the back! There are two Sycamore leaves and an Allophylus leaf - what a find! This is a very unusual plate of Sycamore leaves preserved on both sides.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
