Unusual Mimosites Branch with Many Leaves
Stock Number  FPUMI06

Name:   Mimosites coloradensis
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Plate is 3.8" X 4.0"

This is a fine example of Mimosites coloradensis from the Green River Shale of Utah. There are many leaves still attached to several branches - it is extremely uncommon to find multiple specimens of Mimosites still attached to the stem. The lance-shaped leaves are well defined - the primary venation of the leaves is easily seen. The fossils have very nice color and contrast and are well presented on the natural plate of shale. This is an excellent specimen of a Mimosites branch from Utah.
