This is an unusual leaf from a very unusual locality. It is a large Ginkgo adiantoides leaf from Washington State. This leaf is very well preserved and finely detailed - the distinct venated ribbing is easily seen under magnification. The body of the leaf in nicely intact, and the LONG petiole is complete down to the attachment point. The leaf has great natural color and displays beautifully on the light-colored matrix. This is an exremely hard-to-find leaf from this very obscure location.
