This is an extremely scarce Eocene leaf. It is a large Celastrophyllum emarginatum leaf from Utah. This type has a serrated border and a long petiole - this specimen showcases these features beautifully. The venation is preserved, and the dark, natural color is quite striking. The leaf is wonderfully centered on the rectangular matrix plate. This is a very collectible example of this rare Green River leaf - the only example of this type we have ever had.
