Three Different Leaves On Rectangular Plate
Stock Number  FPCOL20

Name:   See Description
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Douglas Pass, Colorado
Size:  Plate is 6.7'' X 8.3''

Here is a very displayable plate of fossil leaves from the Eocene of Colorado. There are three leaves (of three different types) on this slab! It is very unusual to find so many different types of leaves on one plate. On the left side of the plate is a fine example of Allophylus flexifolia. A highly uncommon Gymnocladus hesperia is in the upper right corner of the slab. A wonderful specimen of Leguminosites lesquereuxiana is positioned below the Gymnocladus. All three of the leaves are quite distinct and still have their petioles tightly attached. The fossils have excellent, natural color and contrast and are nicely positioned on the rectangular plate. This is an outstanding association plate of different leaves from the Green River Formation.
