Size: Cone is 2.1 inches long.
This is an excellent Pararaucaria cone from the wilds of Patagonia. This Jurassic cone has been replaced by silica. It has been removed from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. The cone is preserved in an extremely 3-dimensional manner and exhibits fine detail. The individual cone scales are very well defined. The stem attachment point is easily seen and the very tip of the cone is intact. This is a wonderful fossil cone from Argentina.
