Here is an uncommon specimen of Juglans sp. from an unusual location. This walnut leaf is from the Miocene of Germany. The leaf is complete and exhibits fine detail. The entire margins of the leaf are nicely displayed and the venation is well defined. The fossil leaf has good color and contrast and is well positioned on the squared matrix plate. This is a very good example of a scarce fossil walnut leaf.
