Here is a pretty specimen of Zelkova nervosa (keaki tree) from the Eocene of Utah. The lanceolate leaf displays slightly dentate margins. The leaf exhibits great venation and retains the short petiole. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast and is well centered on the natural block of matrix. This is a fine specimen of Zelkova from the Green River Formation.
