Size:  Concretion is 2.3 inches long.

This is a nice specimen of a fossil seed fern from the Pennsylvanian of Missouri. The plant is preserved in a siderite concretion. Both halves of the concretion are present. The fossil plant is preserved in high relief. The venation of the individual leaflets is easily seen under magnification. The seed fern has great color and good contrast. This is a very affordable specimen of a fossil plant from the Coal Age.
