Interesting Fossil Seed Fern From Missouri

Size:  Concretion is 2.9" wide and 3.3" long.

This is an interesting specimen of a fossil seed fern from the Coal Age. This fossil was found in Missouri and is preserved in a siderite concretion. This specimen shows the branch and three fronds of the seed fern. The fossil exhibits fine detail. The individual leaflets of the fronds are nicely defined. This plant has great color and contrast. This is a very good example of a fossil seed fern from the Pennsylvanian.
