Beautiful Allophylus With Long Petiole

Size:  Leaf is 4.0 inches long including petiole.

Here is an excellent specimen of Allophylus flexifolia from the Eocene of Utah. The leaf is complete and exhibits fine detail. The venation of the leaf is very nicely defined. The serrated margins of the leaf are quite distinct. This specimen has a long, complete petiole attached. The fossil has great color and contrast. It is almost perfectly centered on the natural plate of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of Allophylus flexifolia from the Green River Formation.
