Size: Leaf is 2.4 inches long including petiole.
This is a specimen of Allophylus flexifolia from the Green River Shale of Colorado. The leaf is complete with a short petiole attached. This specimen has fantastic natural color. The contrast is terrific. The venation of the leaf is very nice. The undulate margins are intact. The leaf is nicely centered on a semi-rectangular slab of matrix. This is a remarkably-preserved specimen of Allophylus from the Eocene.
