Here is an unusual find. It is a large, unidentified "lace fern" from Pennsylvania. This specimen was found 10 years ago. It is large and contrasts very well with the dark matrix plate. The white color comes from the mineral, pyrophillite. This unusual type of fern displays beautifully. This is a very collectible fossil fern from the Coal Regions of Pennsylvania.
