Size: Fruit is 0.3 inches wide and 0.4 inches long.
This is a cute, unidentified fruiting body from the Eocene of Utah. The specimen has great color and contrast. It is very finely detailed. The fruiting body is well centered on the natural plate of matrix. There are at least four fossil insects, including a beetle, on the same piece of shale. This is a very nice fruiting body associated with insects from the Green River Shale.
