This is a nice example of a fossil Ginkgo leaf from the Paleocene of North Dakota. The specimen is very well preserved. The dichotomous venation is quite pronounced. The whitish color of the fossil contrasts well with the dark brown matrix. The leaf is positioned on a rounded, somewhat rectangular, slab. This is a fine specimen of Ginkgo adiantoides from the Fort Union Formation.
