This is an extremely displayable fossil plant. It is a large Sandinopsis sp. from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. This leaf has three, very distinct, long, pointed lobes with a stout petiole that is still tightly attached to the main branch. The entire margins of the leaf are wonderfully displayed all the way to the very tips of the lobes. The fossil plant has outstanding color and contrast and is beautifully centered on the large, unbroken, rectangular plate of sublithographic limestone. This is a spectacular specimen of this tropical-looking plant.
