This is a very nice fossil seed fern from Indiana. This is Asterotheca miltoni from the Pennsylvanian. The fern is preserved in a siderite concretion. Both halves of the concretion are present. This specimen was collected in 1962. This location is now producing hardly any specimens. The fern exhibits fine detail. The specimen has good color and fine contrast. This is a fine specimen of a fossil seed fern from an old collection.
