Name:   Platanus wyomingensis (Sycamore Leaf)

Location:  Near Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 5.8" long including petiole

This is a very striking plant fossil. It is a complete Platanus wyomingensis (Sycamore) leaf from Utah. This leaf has all five lobes preserved to the very pointed tips. The color and detail of the leaf is simply amazing. The venation is very distinct and easily seen. A LONG petiole is tightly attached to the large leaf. The overall presentation of this fossil leaf is second to none. It is a very beautiful fossil of an ancient Sycamore leaf.
