Size:  Concretion is 3.3 inches long.

This is an extemely rare specimen of a Lepidostrobus cone from the Pennsylvanian of Missouri. This is the cone from a Lepidodendron tree. The cone is preserved in a siderite concretion. Both halves of the cone are present. The fossil displays fine detail. The individual bracts are easily seen. The fossil has good color and contrast. This is a very fine specimen of an extremely rare Lepidostrobus cone from Missouri.
