Extremely Large Allophylus Leaf From Utah
Stock Number  FPUAL11

Name:   Allophylus flexifolia
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 6.9 inches long including petiole

This is a very displayable fossil leaf. It is an Allophylus flexifolia from the Eocene of Utah. This extremely large leaf exhibits fine detail. The venation is easily seen and the somewhat serrated margins are quite evident. The petiole (stem) is complete down to the branch attachment point. And just to give it some character, the leaf is slightly bug-eaten in spots. The leaf has very good color and contrast and is well centered on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very collectible fossil leaf from the Green River Formation.
