Here is a nice specimen of an unidentified leaf from an unusual location. This fossil leaf is from the Miocene of Germany. This leaf is ovate in outline with entire or slightly undulate margins. It has a somewhat attenuate tip with strong primary venation. The short petiole is still attached to the leaf. This fossil has great, natural color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very interesting example of a fossil leaf from the Miocene of Germany.
