Here is a gorgeous display plate of fossil seed ferns. These are Pecopteris sp. from the Pennsylvanian of Germany. The specimen has been meticulously prepared by hand so that the fossil plants are in high relief. The fossils exhibit excellent detail - the individual leaflets are clearly defined. The plants have excellent color and contrast. They are very nicely presented on a large, rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very aesthetic specimen of fossil seed ferns that would look good in anyone's collection.
