Size: Seed fern nodule is 1.7 inches across.
This is a very detailed fossil seed fern from the Pensylvanian of Missouri. The seed fern is preserved in a siderite concretion. Both halves of the concretion are present. The fossil exhibits fine detail. The venation of the individual leaflets is easily seen. The specimen has good color and contrast. This is a nice example of a fossil seed fern from the Coal Age.
