This is a very unusual fossil plant. It is an excellent example of the Jurassic cycad, Otozamites feistmantelli. These are not ferns, but much rarer cycad fronds. This specimen has beautiful orange color and contrasts well with the natural reddish-pink matrix. The fronds have very fine detail, and the plate displays beautifully. This is a striking example of this collectible Cycadophytes.
