Size:  Seed fern nodule is 3.5 inches long.

This specimen was found in 1965. It is a fossil seed fern preserved in a siderite concretion from the famous strip mine at Braidwood, Illinois. Both halves of the concretion are present. The fossil exhibits fine detail. The seed fern has good color and contrast. This is a nice specimen of a fossil seed fern from a site that is no longer open to collecting.
