Size:  Leaf is 2.5 inches including petiole.

This is a nice specimen of Rhus nigricans, a sumac, from the Eocene of Utah. The leaf is complete and retains the short petiole. The toothed margins are very distinct. The specimen has good color and contrast. It is well centered on the natural block of matrix. This is a very pretty fossil sumac leaf.
