Excellent Willow Leaf Centered On Shale Plate
Stock Number  FPUSA02

Name:   Salix cockerelli
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River
Location:  Near Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 4.2 inches including petiole.

Here is a very aesthetic specimen of Salix cockerelli, a willow, from the Eocene of Utah. The specimen is complete and nicely detailed. The lanceolate leaf displays the finely toothed margins very nicely. The leaf retains the short petiole. The specimen has excllent color and contrast. It is almost perfectly centered on the squared plate of matrix. This is one of the most displayable willow leaves that we have seen.
