Large Metasequoia Cone With Associated Foliage
Stock Number  FPCM03

Name:   Metasquoia occidentalis
Age:  Oligocene
Formation:  Muddy Creek Formation
Location:  Beaverhead County, Montana
Size:  Plate is approximately 2.6" X 5.3".

This is an interesting specimen. The natural plate of matrix contains a Metasequoia cone and also a branch of Metasequoia foliage. The cone is very large and retains the stalk. The long branch of foliage displays very nicely. The fossils have good color and contrast. This is a nice association plate of Metasequoia from the Oligocene of Montana.
