This is an interesting specimen. The natural plate of matrix contains a Metasequoia cone and also a branch of Metasequoia foliage. The cone is very large and retains the stalk. The long branch of foliage displays very nicely. The fossils have good color and contrast. This is a nice association plate of Metasequoia from the Oligocene of Montana.
