Here is a nice specimen of a fossil seed fern from the famous Tonganoxie Sandstone of Kansas. The specimen has good color and contrast. The seed fern displays very fine detail. The venation of each individual pinnule is easily seen. This specimen was recently acquired from an old collection. The specimen was collected in the 1970s. We have heard that this site has been closed to collecting for a number of years. This is a very detailed specimen of a fossil seed fern from the Pennsylvanian of Kansas.
