Excellent "Dawn Redwood" Frond from Montana

This is a very displayable plant fossil. It is a large Metasequoia occidentalis frond from Montana. This type is known as a "Dawn Redwood". The frond has excellent detail and beautiful natural color - no enhancement! The dark brown frond is nicely centered on the light brown matrix plate. This is simply a beautiful example of a fossil plant.
