This is a very nice fossil seed fern from the Pennsylvanian of Missouri. The seed fern has been preserved in a siderite concretion. Both halves (part and counterpart) of the nodule are present. The seed fern has great color and contrast. The fossil exhibits fine detail. The individual leaflets of the frond are very pronounced. This is a wonderful specimen of this coal-age plant.
