This is a very cool plant fossil. It is a large plate of fossil fern fronds from Pennsylvania. The fossils are replaced with the mineral Pyrophyllite, which gives them their stunning, natural white color. The distinct fern fronds have fine detail preserved and contrast beautifully with the black matrix plate. The fossil plants are aesthetically scattered about the plate. This is a large, displayable grouping of fossil fern fronds from the Coal Age.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
