This is a fabulous fossil leaf. It is a large Allophylus leaf from Utah. This specimen is extremely large - over FIVE inches long! The leaf has great color and detail. The venation of the leaf is easily seen, and the petiole (stem) is present. The leaf is beautifully showcased on the large, rectangular matrix block that also contains an extremely rare Caesalpinites falcata leaf. And just to give it some character, the Allophylus leaf has a textbook bug-eaten margin that is very easily seen! This is one of the larger bug-eaten leaves we've seen from the Green River Formation of Utah. It is an extremely collectible fossil leaf.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
