Allophylus flexifolia Leaf
Age: Eocene
Formation: Green River Formation
Location: Bonanza, Utah
Size: Leaf is 4.3" including petiole
Price: SOLD
Here is a very nice specimen of Allophylus flexifolia from the Eocene of Utah. The specimen is complete and exhibits excellent detail. The undulate margins are clearly defined and the venation of the leaf is quite evident. The tiny, pointed tip of the leaf is intact and the petiole is complete and still tightly attached to the leaf. The dark leaf contrasts well with the khaki-colored matrix. It is well positioned on a large, rectangular block of matrix that also contains a partial, extremely "bug-eaten" leaf. This is a fine specimen of Allophylus from the Green River Formation.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
