Here is a very unusual plate of leaves from the Eocene of Utah. There are two leaves on this slab of Green River Shale. The leaf on the left is Populus cinnamomoides, the one on the right is a Sumac. These leaves have nice detail and shape preserved. Both of these plant fossils have very nice color and contrast wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The fossils are well showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a great example of this rare fossil leaf association.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
