Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah

Here is a very unusual plate of leaves from the Eocene of Utah. There are three leaves on this slab of Green River Shale. The leaf in the middle is a Celtis mccoshii (Hackberry), the ones on either side are Leguminosites lesquereuxi. These leaves have very nice detail and shape preserved. All three of these plant fossils have very nice color and contrast wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. They are all well showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very fine multiple plate of three distinct leaves from the Green River Shale.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
