This is a fabulous fossil plant from the Cretacous of Morocco. This unidentified (undescribed?) plant is very well displayed. The detail of this strange plant is just exquisite! The structure is clearly defined, and the many "buds" are wonderfully displayed. The dark color of the plant contrasts well with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is wonderfully showcased on the large plate of limestone. This is a very detailed specimen of this extremely unusual fossil plant from Africa.
