This is a very interesting multiple leaf plate from the Eocene of Utah. The large leaf in the middle of the plate is Beilschmiedia eocenica, a rare leaf. This leaf displays the classic shape typical of this species. The venation is very distinct. A long petiole is attached to the leaf. The specimen at the bottom left is Caesalpinites falcata, also a rare leaf. There is also a very detailed fossil Cranefly located between the two leaves. This is a very collectible plate of rare fossil leaves and insects.
