Here is an extremely uncommon specimen of fossil leaves. This is Acrostichum hesperium from the Eocene of Utah. There are two examples of Acrostichum leaves on this slab. This plant has large leaves with fine, net-like venation which is wonderfully displayed on this specimen. The fossil leaves have excellent, natural color and contrast and are well presented on the thin plate of matrix. This is a very nice specimen of this highly unusual fossil plant from the Green River Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
