This is a nice example of Cardiospermum coloradensis, balloon vine, from the Eocene of Colorado. The tri-lobed leaf shows good venation. The short petiole is attached to the leaf. The specimen has great color and contrast. It is well positioned on the natural plate of shale. This is a good specimen of a balloon vine leaf from the Green River Formation.
