This is a nice specimen of Rhus nigricans, a sumac, from the Eocene of Utah. The asymmetrical leaf displays a cuneate base. The margins are extremely dentate. The venation is quite distinct. The leaf has good color and nice contrast. It is well positioned on a semi-squared block of matrix. There is also a partial unidentified leaf on the plate. This is a fine sumac leaf from the Green River Shale.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
